Daria Miyeko Marinelli began her skating career at the tender age of three, sitting in the middle of the ice and bawling her eyes out. Fortunately, things improved from there.
Daria specializes in Moves in the Field, Choreography, Ice Dance, Theater on Ice, and Freestyle. She is originally from Westchester, NY and has over twenty years of figure skating experience. She is a USFS Double Gold Medalist in MIF and Ice Dance, and has passed her Intermediate Freeskate test. Along with being a member of PSA, USFS, and ISI, she is an ISI-Certified Gold Level Judge and holds a PSA Registered Rating in Moves in the Field and Group Instruction.
She has competed nationally at the Junior-level with Team Millennium and began coaching during her time at Brown University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors. She has taught both domestically and abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is fluent in Spanish.
Daria brings her passion for skating to all of her lessons and loves working with students of all ages and abilities. She strongly believes in nurturing each skater's passion and potential for skating through clear communication, positive encouragement, and by constantly challenging each skater to become the best version of themselves both on and off the ice.
